In order to pass, dogs must satisfy the evaluator that it's behaviour would be acceptable in homes, would be welcomed as a neighbour, is well mannered in the presence of people, dogs and situations and is well groomed and allows examination or grooming by others.  The Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) issues certificates for dogs earning a "pass".
