Flyball

Ben, aka Super Flyball Dog extraordinaire. The regular start dog for Ben's team has recently developed some issues with another dog running into him, so he drops the ball early. So, they asked if I could start Ben. Sure, I'll give it a try. He was awesome. His normal times are around 5.5sec. His best ever time, even with a good pass was 5.1 sec. At start position his average time was 4.7sec, with a few in the low 4's. He also had four perfect starts (0.00). For those that don't know flyball, you let your dog go before the timer starts, and try to have him be at the start line at the same time as when the clock starts running. A 0.00 start means he got there at exactly the same time as the start of the clock. Most of our starts were below 0.15sec, so we were pretty consistent. Experienced handlers go entire tournaments without a perfect start, and Ben got four. He seemed to like the start position better then any other position he has run. Great weekend.
