Luke

AKA “ Jerky Dog”

Luke's AAC Results

Red/White Border Collie born Dec 09, 1998 in the small town of Royston , British Columbia .

As a true BC, he enjoys herding pretty much anything that moves around the yard including Benny. His Nickname is Jerk Dog because he likes to traumatize his younger brother Benny whenever a good game of fetch is ON.

He is totally in his element when he is required to work on the farm.  Unlike the other dogs here, he will lie down and observe his surrounding, keeping a close look on all the action.

He is an excellent sports dog whether at Agility, Flyball or Disc.  To-date, he has reached many titles, which we treasure fondly.

Luke is a crowd pleaser.  He enjoys performing to an audience whether doing tricks or games.  He will run through his repertoire for a tasty cookie anytime.

His favourite agility game is Jumpers.

Benny

AKA “The Energizer Benny, Monkey Boy”

FMX

Benny is Luke’s younger brother.  Born from the same parents but 2 years apart, Benny is a comic true and true.  His love of life is grander than his inaptitude to do Agility quietly.

Whenever practicing at home in the backfield, Benny tends to hold back his eagerness to play, pretending to be the perfect little BC that he is until…Match Day where he is listed to participate in Agility games.  He is known in the Agility circuit for his uncanny ability to literally destroy any course while running it.  Well…once on the field waiting to be unleashed, he is seen building up so much energy and then simply cuts loose and turns himself into a Jekill & Hyde monster.  Barking non-stop, trashing every jumps, missing every command and smashing any obstacles in his destructive path until the game is over.

On the other hand, he truly excels at Flyball.  He is the current start dog on Backdraft Reg. Team and has a clocked time of 4.1 sec per heat.  By far, one of the best dogs on the team, Benny gives it his 100% every time no matter how many runs he has to do.

“What a trooper”.

Blu's AAC Results

Blu is a rescue from Kingston .  She joined our family in the winter of 2002 at a tender age of 8 months.  As our first female dog in a pack of male only dogs, Blu was very quick to raise herself to the Alpha dog status, demoting Luke in days & Benny even sooner.

Although she has Border Collie in her, she is a huntress by nature.  Unlike the others who enjoy playing fetch, she enjoys walking the perimeter of the pond, searching for anything to catch: frogs, snakes even muskrats.

She is fairly new to the Agility world with only 2 seasons of backyard games and a few demos in town.  On Nov 05, she participated in her first ever trial at Dream fields and managed to pull 5 qualifying runs on the same day.  She surprised everyone to say the least, including yours truly!

What the future holds for her is clear to us… she may very well become our first ATCh dog in the house, again outperforming the boys.

Go Blu Go!!!

Mollie

RPT

AKA “Hot TaMollie”

Mollie is a rescue from Toronto Humane Society.  She joined our family in the Summer of 2004 at a tender age of 9 months.  As our Second female dog in our pack, she ascertained herself over the males in weeks from coming home, and is currently working on abdicating Blu’s supreme ruler throne.  Ahhhh, the fun never ends …

She is Border Collie by nature.  Her idea of fun is to pester us with non-stop “fetch the tennis ball” game.  She is training in agility and Flyball but seems to find these games beneath her skills has she tends to tune-out after minutes of doing them.  In Jul 05, she participated in her first city Park public demo at the 2005 Sky’s the Limit in K’Town.  She did awesome for a first time and hope she will do it again. We simply need to find her ON switch I guess ?!?  Ummmm… now where’s that switch?

October 2008 she achieved Flyball FD and FDX.
